Croatia to host Futsal Euro 2012 Croatian Times Croatia will host the UEFA Futsal Euro Championship 2012 finals that will be held in February 2012, the UEFA Executive Committee decided yesterday (Wed) in Tel Aviv.The matches will be played at 15,200-seat Zagreb Arena and 10,93-seat Spaladium Arena in Split.The other countries that bid were Belgium and Macedonia.The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) was chosen to stage the finals because Croatia was recognized as a successful organizer and host.HNS had been preparing its application for more than five months.
The championship will feature 12 teams.Futsal is a variant of football that is played on a smaller playing surface, usually indoors.
