IT will not be an easy ride for Kurukuru as they have been tired to take on New Caledonia in their first match of the OFC Futsal Championship.

OFC this week announced the OFC Futsal Championship fixtures with the defending champions Kurukuru going up against the Kanaks on August 8.

Kurukuru will then take on New Zealand the next day.

See fixtures below for more Infor.

The Futsal Championships will be held from August 8 to 14 at Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji.

Joining the host country for the tournament will be six other national sides - defending champions the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tuvalu and Tahiti.

Meanwhile, Fiji has named its final squad.

To prepare themselves for the best of what Oceania has to offer on the court, the Fiji players will meet for a five-week camp from July 12 to August 14.

Fiji FA vice-president Anil Sharma, who is also head of the association's futsal commission, says a plan has already been mapped out for the squad.

"The 20 members will be reduced to 15 after two weeks of the camp," he says.

"Twelve players will later be selected for the OFC championships.

This is their chance to represent the country." Development officer and former national representative Hussein Sahib is head of the coaching panel and will be assisted by Tama Vosuqa and James Muir.

The Solomon Islands named the 12 men responsible for keeping hold of their title earlier in June, while New Zealand has also revealed its final line-up.

Fiji national futsal training squad: Benaminio Mateinaqara, Dinesh Mudaliar, Siga Ali, Sedrick Dutt, Joseph Mishra (Navua); Kamal Hassan, Arvindra Naidu, Osea Vakatalesau, Alvin Avinesh (Lautoka); Aisea Codro, Petero Dauniseka (Ba); Sandeep Nair, Ajesh Narayan (Labasa); Simione Vesa, Samuela Drudru (Nadroga); Uraia Loki, Ratu Josevata Dugucagi (Nadi); Vikash Shiva Reddy (Nasinu); Josaia Ratu (Tavua); Emori Ragata (Suva).
